This beautiful handcrafted crochet hooks are made from Texas Pecan. The hooks are shaped with a larger handle to relieve stress on the hand and wrist when crocheting. They also have an Ergonomic shape that fits nicely in the hand.

Because this hook is handcrafted there will be variation in appearance, grain, size and color. While there are slight variation the basic Ergonomic shape is maintained. No two handcrafted hooks will be the same!

Pecan , (Carya illinoinensis or illinoensis) is a species of hickory, native to south-central North America, in Mexico from Coahuila south to Jalisco and Veracruz, in the United States from southern Iowa, Illinois and Indiana east to western Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and western Tennessee, south through Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Florida, and west into New Mexico.
"Pecan" is from an Algonquian word, meaning a nut requiring a stone to crack.

To be honest, I ordered a ‘plain’ Texas Pecan hook because I was just overwhelmed with the beautiful choices! Let me tell you, it is anything but plain. The wood is sanded to the same perfection my father, a wood pattern maker for GM (before CAD, when they made full scale wood models of cars) would make and I considered him the gold standard for wood finishing. It glides effortlessly through my yarn and is so comfortable to hold. You can bet I will be adding more of Bryan’s hooks to my collection!

WOW! This hook is amazing, it's beautiful, lightweight, even balanced, and hands down the nicest crochet hook I have ever crocheted with.
