This crochet hook is made from Red Shank Root Burl (Adenostoma Sparslfoilum) with Turquoise Inlay with your choice of wood ends and rings.The hooks are shaped with a larger handle to relieve stress on the hand and wrist when crocheting. They also have an Ergonomic shape that fits nicely in the hand.

The hook is inlayed with real turquoise that has been crushed in small bit and powder and in large voids a manmade Turquoise might be used. The amount of turquoise will vary, depending on the voids in the burl.

Red Shank (Adenostoma Sparslfoilum)  also know as Red Shanks and Ribbonwood. Is a large multi stemmed, opened-branched shrub or small tree that can grow 7 to 20 feet tall. Crowns are rounded and foliage grows on the end of long bare stems. Some plants can reach the age of 100 years. Red Shank grows southern California to Northern Baja at elevations of 1600 feet to 6,000 feet. Red Shank regenerates primarily from root and burl sprouts and seedlings are rare
