This beautiful hand crafted crochet hook is made from Olivewood. The hooks are shaped with a larger handle to relieve stress on the hand and wrist when crocheting. They also have an Ergonomic shape that fits nicely in the hand.

Because this hook is handcrafted there will be variation in appearance, grain, size and color. While there are slight variation the basic Ergonomic shape is maintained. No two handcrafted hooks will be the same!

OLIVEWOOD (Olea hochstetteri) Olive trees are quite distinctive, being fairly small with short, stout, twisting trunks and gnarly branches. They also enjoy incredible longevity, sometimes existing for more than 1,500 years! (These ancient trees develop huge trunks, often several feet wide.) Although Olive trees are primarily cultivated for . . . well, olives (and olive oil), the available supply of wood from the trees is fairly consistent.

With different ergonomic hooks, this has to be my favorite. What makes it better is the hook is metal, so it still feels the same as when I'm using my usual metal hook. I love that he's able to make available wooden hooks, Boyle or Bates hook. I can crochet longer than before. It may be pricey for some, but I'd suggest investing in one size you use regularly. Ordering was a bit confusing for me, but Bryan was very helpful with numerous emails and some photos back and forth. His customer service skills are absolutely 💯%. I'm very happy with my purchase!
