This beautiful hand turned crochet hook made from Mango. The hooks are shaped with a larger handle to relieve stress on the hand and wrist when crocheting. They also have an Ergonomic shape that fits nicely in the hand.

Because this hook is handcrafted there will be variation in appearance, grain, size and color. While there are slight variation the basic Ergonomic shape is maintained. No two handcrafted hooks will be the same!

MANGO  (Mangifera indica) Known more widely for its fruit, Mango trees also yield beautiful and valuable lumber. The wood is very eco-friendly, as some Mango plantations harvest the trees for lumber after they have completed their useful fruit-bearing lifespan. The heartwood is a golden brown, while other colors such as yellow and streaks of pink and/or black can also occur. Paler sapwood is not always clearly defined. Curly or mottled grain patterns are also common.
Mango comes from Southeast Asia and also as close as Hawaii.
Mango is use for Furniture, ukuleles, veneer, plywood, turned objects, and flooring.
