Angle or Cross Cut refers to the direction of the grain to the cut of the blade. By cutting the wood this way the hook will show greater variance of patterns, color and some end grain compared to cutting with the grain.

Perfect in every way. Bryan's hooks are not only beautiful to look at, but they stop the cramping in my hands caused my the traditional hooks. Who would have guessed that a crochet hook could also be a work of art!

Beautiful! I really like the look of the Spalted Tamarind wood and it's combination with Gabon Ebony tips is very classy. The craftsmanship is excellent on this hook as it is on all of the hooks I own that have been created by this woodworking artist. The design of the hooks make them very comfortable to use and it really does reduce fatigue of your hand when you crochet.
