Bolivian Rosewood Ring Dish

This gorgeous Ring Dish is hand turned and made from Exotic Bolivian Rosewood. Each Ring Dish will be signed, numbered and dated (year). They are finished with a friction polish that's applied while still on the lathe.

This dish measures approximately 3 7/8" across and is 3/4" high. Measurements may vary slightly dish to dish.

 Bolivian Rosewood - (Machaerium schleroxylon) - also know as Morado, Pau Ferro and Santos Rosewood it's an exotic and imported hardwood that is strikingly beautiful. It is sold as a substitute for Brazilian Rosewood (Dalbergia nigra) and it is very difficult to tell the two apart. 

 The wood has color variations from chocolate or violet-brown to violet streaked with black, often streaked with golden-brown. The grain is straight, sometimes wavy. The texture is medium to coarse and the wood is oily to the touch with a walnut like scent. Takes a beautiful natural polish.
