(Sickingia salvadorensis) other names are Chakte Kok, Cuban mahogany, Aguano, Cobano to name a few.
Redheart
displays marvelous grain patterns, with wavy lines of dark brown and bright
pink-red. The swirling end-grain indicates interlocking grain that needs sharp
tools to work. The sapwood is a contrasting color and ages to a pale yellow.
Redheart is from Mexico and Central America. Can be a medium to heavy wood (40
lb./cu. ft.) |
