Bubinga Coffee TABLE

I must apologize for these pictures. I did not have the right lighting so the ones taken inside the house are very dark. I tried to lighten them but I'm NOT a photographer!
But hopefully you can get the idea of this wonderful table.
These picture will take you through some of the construction process. I used Curly Maple, Curly Oak, Cocobolo, Pomelle Bubinga, Pecan and Padauk in building this project. Woods above are, from left to right, Curly Maple, Curly Oak, Bubinga (three in the middle) and the two on the right show the Pecan end caps. The Curly Maple was used in the inside top support, Curly Oak for the legs, Pomelle Bubinga and Pecan for the top.
The pictures above show the leg assembly. Woods used are Curly Oak, Cocobolo, inlayed on all four corners of each leg and Padauk, used in the top and bottom caps of the legs and the outer cross pieces.
The next pictures show the legs assembled
Now comes the color. The wood doesn't show it's real beauty till you add a little oil. I used a natural oil so that no color was added. I then sealed with wax.
Wow, will you look at that Pomelle Bubinga.
This is a great table. The top was made from two pieces of Pomelle Bubinga that I'll swear are book matched (their not but they are close).
